Air Force UFO rules vanish from handbook

From The Huff Post:

The military deleted a passage about unidentified flying objects from a 2008 Air Force personnel manual just days after The Huffington Post asked Pentagon officials about the purpose of the UFO section.

Before the recent revisions, the document — Air Force Instruction 10-206 — advised pilots, radar operators and other Air Force personnel on what to do when they encountered any unknown airborne objects. Now in the 2011 version, the reference to UFOs — which simply means “unidentified flying objects,” not necessarily spaceships with little green men — has been eliminated.

What makes this so intriguing is that the U.S. government officially stopped investigating UFOs in 1969 with the termination of the Air Force’s Project Blue Book.

But here’s the big question: Did the Air Force really stop investigating UFOs in 1969 as they have repeatedly claimed throughout the ensuing decades?

“Absolutely not! They have continued to look into UFO cases,” said Salas, co-author of “Faded Giant.” “In fact, there are NORAD records from 1975 of UFO sightings — and this was not any general aviation aircraft — objects seen over missile sites and other bases.

Cigar shaped UFO’s spotted over Delaware

From The Examiner:

A Delaware witness reports watching two silver, cigar-shaped objects “with a black band in the middle” while driving along a rural road, according to October 10, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness said the object was observed lower than an airplane - about 10,000 feet in altitude - when a second, identical object was noticed.

UFO’s over Shanghai

From UFO Sighting Daily:

This is a cool video of several UFO orbs sitting motionless in the sky over Shanghai. These orbs moves slightly but often turn off and on their lights as if they are trying to get the attention of the humans below. The video seems to have glitches in it due to the broken sound recording, but that is sometimes the case when a video was used in a converter to change its format for uploading. They are talking Chinese, I understand some of it. Its a guy talking to his wife and he is being rude about it and pisses her off.

Blinding bright light over Colorado rural road

From The Examiner:

Two Colorado witnesses driving northwest along Road 97 toward Conifer report watching a large triangle-shaped object hovering over nearby tree tops with “white blinding lights” and a “strange blue and green light on the front of the craft,” according to September 14, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The two had just left Kennedy Gulch and were near Conifer when they made a left turn and encountered the object.

“My friend saw something in the sky and told me to look,” the reporting witness stated. “I turned and looked at a 60-degree angle up to my left, and saw three lights in a triangle shape.”

The reporting witness details what his friend saw.

“My friend then turned and looked back at the craft and he saw a very large object in the sky hovering over the tree tops on the left side of the road.”

The object then moved across the road, turning slightly - “exposing large, white blinding lights alongwith a strange blue and green light on the front of the craft.”

50th anniversary of the first UFO abduction case

Nashua Telegraph

Betty and Barney Hill’s reported interaction with a UFO on Route 3 near Lincoln, occurred 50 years ago Monday.

The Hills, a quiet Portsmouth couple whose only public role until then involved participating in the state’s Civil Rights movement, said they had been taken aboard a cigar-shaped spacecraft and questioned by humanoid alien beings.

Betty Hill even drew from memory a space map that the creatures had shown her, locating their home base (some claim it points to a binary star called Zeta Reticuli, 39 light-years away).

A state historical plaque unveiled this summer celebrates “the first widely-reported UFO abduction report in the United States.”

Was this fiery UFO simply a meteorite? Not so fast

If you live in Arizona, California, and Nevada chances are you had a chance to take part in one of the most widespread UFO sightings in years. NASA scientists say this multi-colored object was most likely an astroid that broke off into a meteorite.

Sounds fair. But not so fast.

Peter Davenport, director of the National UFO Reporting Center, is skeptical that the UFO was a meteor because it was visible for so long.

“It’s definitely too early to say that it’s a meteor,” he told 8News. “One would not expect a person to be witness to a meteor for 45 or 50 seconds.”

Sure enough. If you look at this video you can clearly see a fiery object hovering and moving in patterns inconsistent with a meteorite.

Strange object seen moments after Russian hockey team plane crash

A strange craft was seen rocketing away from the scene of that catastrophic Russian Yak-42 plane crash. The plane had been carrying most of the Russian Lokomotiv hockey team. Security camera footage at the scene captured the smoke cloud along the banks of the Volga River.  Just after the plane crashes you can clearly see an object shooting out of frame.

Multicolored UFO invades Texas

Many UFO videos are faked by anonymous individuals. But every once in a while a quality UFO video comes along that stands up to scrutiny. That’s what happened this week when a credible video blogger captured something remarkable on camera.

From The Examiner:

On September 7, 2011, a woman named Kelli Coffee witnessed a multicolored UFO in the sky overhead in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Texas…

According to Kelli Coffee, the unidentified flying object moved ” … across the sky with the stars.”  It was this movement, or lack of movement relative to the stars, that led her to believe the UFO was not an ordinary airplane.

Northern Voices Online pointed out that UFO sightings have recently increased in frequency.  They also noted that many videos of certain UFO sightings have been called into question because ” … no one knows who took them.”

Flaming UFO caught on tape over Peru

Is it a jet chemtrail reflecting in the sunlight? Is it a meteorite?

There’s still no consensus among experts and that means it’s still a UFO. This fiery object caused panic in Peru on August 25th as it fell from the skies. According to published reports the object caused fires to break out in the Cusco region of Peru after it crashed.

The Southwestern Peruvian National Institute of Civil Defense branch said it surveyed local provinces, but “there was no UFO seen on the sky on Thursday,” according to Regional Director Ranolfo Ancí Castañeda as cited by Peru.com.

“What’s true is that there is no damage, there have been no fires or soil perforations of any kind,” he added. “Everything indicates this object continued its march through the universe.”

Soviet UFO retrieval footage uncovered

Michael Cohen over at Allnewsweb.com has been handed a remarkable piece of video. In it we see Soviet soldiers rushing towards a giant metallic object in the woods. We clearly see soldiers guarding the crashed object.

Is this a staged piece of film designed to scare the U.S.? It’s hard to say but you can clearly see damaged trees above the crash site. Also curious are the Jeeps used in the footage. Since when do Soviets use Jeeps?
